We are currently working with an experienced house builder to develop a site in Bloxham village, North Oxfordshire, to accommodate 14 two- and three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached cottages.
The site was previously a sports club which was owned by a local businessman. He had not applied for planning approval but we were confident that it wouldn’t be a problem. We bought the land and the existing building outright. We applied for planning permission and won consent for 14 houses.
This £3 million project is a joint undertaking with K. W. Bell & Sons, a national house builder based in Gloucestershire. The development is totally in keeping with the existing village architecture. The houses, designed by David Corley Architects, are in local stone (Hornton) and brick and have natural Welsh slate roofs. The houses share a front courtyard and play area. Local agents, Anker & Partners, are handling the sales.
